Tax Manager - Private Client Services

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging goals.
  • Review and prepare individual 1040 returns, fiduciary 1041 returns, 709 returns, family partnership returns, and private foundation returns.
  • Manage accounts, train, assign work to staff, and communicate directly with clients, senior managers, directors, and partners.
  • Research topics and communicate directly with tax authorities as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to research complex topics and identify client needs.
  • Mentor and support staff.

  • The salary range for a Tax Manager is upto $175,000.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • CPA, JD, or EA required.
  • 6+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Excel.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, ProSystem FX, and BNA Tax Planner.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation (verbal and written) skills.
