Tax Associate, Family Office & PCS - Remote, US

esponsibilities

  • Works as a member of the Family Office Services (FOS) group in providing outstanding service to clients.
  • Performs many of the duties of an entry-level accountant, including servicing High Net Worth (HNW) individuals and family groups, under the supervision of upper-level management.
  • Gains an understanding of and assists in planning multiple sophisticated client engagements for high net worth individuals and family groups.
  • Prepares and reviews complex individual tax returns and related fiduciary, partnership, corporate, not-for-profit, and gift tax returns, as well as 1040s and 1040SRs.
  • Develops tax compliance knowledge and assists with estate, gift, and trust tax returns, and trust accounting.
  • Participates in client assignments from beginning to end.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
  • Pledges to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and a commitment to understanding their goals and needs.
  • Maintains and complies with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
  • Assists with training and mentoring junior associates and interns on tax methodology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • CPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and tax project management skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP, taxation compliance, codes, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently, and problem-solve in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet, and audit software.
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs up to 25%.
