Job Description:

The Public Finance Team is seeking an associate or counsel with 2-5 years of relevant experience to join their Dallas office. Their team advises on a broad range of financing matters for state and local governmental entities, including municipal bonds, notes, and other obligations—tax-exempt or taxable—across the U.S. and its territories for public infrastructure and capital improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong transactional background with experience in public finance transactions and tax-exempt municipal bond financing. Experience with debt offerings and business transactions for school districts, junior college districts, cities, counties, and special-purpose districts is preferred.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of transactional experience, preferably in public finance and municipal bond financing.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to support and enhance team collaboration and client relationships.
  • Active Texas Bar membership or the ability to become licensed in Texas.

Additional Skills:

  • Direct experience working with school districts, junior college districts, cities, counties, and special-purpose districts on debt financing and other business transactions.
  • Knowledge of relevant public finance laws, tax codes, and regulatory considerations.
