A prominent patent counseling firm is seeking a full-time registered Patent Attorney to join their team. This is a remote position, though candidates in the DC area are welcome to visit the office as often or as little as they like.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO.
  • Collaborating with clients and colleagues to develop strategic claim strategies.
  • Managing a docket of cases across a range of clients, from start-ups to large corporations.
  • Supporting additional matters such as drafting opinions, conducting due diligence, and performing landscape analyses.
  • Handling post-grant proceedings, including Inter Partes Reviews.

About You:
The firm is seeking candidates with diverse technology backgrounds, with particular interest in:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Chemistry/biochemistry
  • Biology
  • Physics
  • IPR/litigation experience

Candidates should possess strong client-service skills, exceptional organizational and interpersonal abilities, and a self-starting attitude. The ability to multi-task and contribute in a team environment is essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $155,000 - $250,000, based on experience.
  • Competitive benefits package.
  • Bonus opportunities:
    • Trimester bonuses for meeting billable targets.
    • End-of-year merit and productivity bonuses contingent on performance.
