Position Title: Partner – Tier 1 Law Firm – Corporate

Role Summary
My client is currently seeking a Corporate Partner to join its Dallas or Houston office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate law, especially in areas such as M&A, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, and strategic alliances. This role presents an opportunity to help shape and grow an already robust Corporate practice, working alongside a team that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Transactional Leadership: Direct and negotiate complex corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, restructurings, and equity investments.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base, offering counsel on corporate governance, compliance, and long-term strategic planning.
- Practice Growth & Strategy: Collaborate with firm leadership to set and execute strategic goals for the Corporate practice in Dallas or Houston, identifying growth opportunities and nurturing client relationships.
- Team Mentorship & Development: Guide associates and junior partners by providing leadership, training, and constructive feedback, ensuring ongoing professional growth and development.
- Business Development: Drive revenue growth by cultivating new and existing client relationships, supported by the firm’s dedicated Marketing Department for pitches and presentations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other practice groups—such as tax, finance, and litigation—to offer integrated legal solutions that address clients’ broader business objectives.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Texas (or eligibility to become licensed in Texas).
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate law, including significant deal-making and client-advisory roles.
- Proven Book of Business or strong business development skills with the capacity to attract and retain high-value clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions, lead deal teams, and mentor junior attorneys.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with an aptitude for client-facing work and team leadership.
