Business Litigation Associate Attorney

About the Role:

A well-established firm is seeking a Midlevel Business Litigation Associate Attorney with three to five years of experience in complex commercial litigation. This role provides the opportunity to work on sophisticated disputes for a diverse range of businesses and individuals in federal and state court proceedings, as well as alternative dispute resolution venues.

The firm fosters a collegial and collaborative work environment, offering associates direct engagement with experienced attorneys and exposure to national-level litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of complex business litigation, including strategy development, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on high-stakes litigation matters.
  • Manage large and sophisticated litigation cases, ensuring a high standard of advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business or commercial litigation at a law firm.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is preferred but not required.
  • At least two years of experience in a litigation position at a firm is required.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience managing complex litigation matters and working closely with clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with contract disputes, fraud claims, business torts, and partnership disputes.
  • Familiarity with arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Prior litigation experience in real estate, energy, or financial services is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary ($275,000–$300,000), with an annual discretionary bonus.
