Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an attorney with at least 6 years of experience to join their Environmental & Mass Tort practice. This role offers the opportunity to tackle complex, high-profile matters across national and international jurisdictions in environmental, energy, and natural resources law.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in:

  • Environmental Permitting: Managing permits for air, water, underground injection control (UIC), and offshore facilities.
  • Environmental Review Processes: Proficiency in CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) and NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) reviews.
  • Contaminated Site Management: Investigating and remediating sites under CERCLA, RCRA, California DTSC, and Water Boards remedial authorities.
  • Agency Investigations: Leading investigations involving state and federal agencies.
  • Transactional Due Diligence: Assessing environmental compliance and risks during transactions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with land use law, the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission) processes.
  • Experience in environmental and product-related litigation.

Position Details:
This is a Counsel/Senior Counsel role with a clear pathway for advancement. Performance, practice contributions, and market conditions will influence progression opportunities, including potential consideration for Partnership.
